Working with Jonathan at Elev8 Wellness has been single-handedly the best decision I've ever made for my fitness. My whole life I only intermittently ran or jogged and was afraid of weightlifting - I had never attempted it and had a weak baseline. At 29, I injured my lumbar spine at work and for five years I dealt with periodic pain and disruptions in my ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time without discomfort. I tried physical therapy with various treatment modalities but nothing was effective. Then, last year, I finally gained the courage to schedule a consult with Jonathan. He was immediately welcoming, knowledgeable, encouraging, and optimistic about my potential. I was still intimidated during my first couple of workouts, but I'm shocked by how comfortable and empowered I quickly became! Contacted Jonathan and then scheduled an initial consult without really knowing what to expect, but hoping to get help to meet my fitness goals. I've been working with Jonathan for about seven months. When I started, I struggled to do some initial movements. I had to use body weight or empty bar for virtually every exercise. However, now I'm doing single leg squats, hip thrusts over 400lbs, and bench press of 100lbs. My starting weight was 230lbs, and now I'm down to 199lbs. Jonathan has been available, clear, flexible, personable, caring, funny, knowledgeable, and informed. We talked about our plan to meet my goals and worked towards them every week.
