Health content on RetaMaps goes through two layers: editorial review (facts against primary sources, labels checked, nothing resembling medical advice) and, for clinical topics, review by a licensed medical professional.
Current status
We are onboarding our medical reviewers. Until a reviewer has signed off on a page, it shows "Editorial review · Medical review pending" in its byline — you'll never see a "medically reviewed" label without a named reviewer and a date behind it.
What reviewers do
Medical reviewers check clinical accuracy, flag overstatements, and confirm that comparisons carry the right caveats (like cross-trial comparison warnings). Reviewers are identified by name and credential on every page they review, and they review content — they do not treat patients through this site and no doctor–patient relationship is created by reading it.
